Configuring Apple Mail (macOS)¶
IMAP Configuration
Currently, Kopano Cloud accounts on Apple Mail should be configured using IMAP. Native Exchange support for macOS Mail is planned for a future release.
Apple Mail can automatically detect most email settings, but you may need to configure it manually to ensure proper IMAP setup.
Adding an account¶
- Open Mail and go to Mail > Settings (or Preferences).
- Click the Accounts tab.
- Click the + button to add a new account.
- Select Other Mail Account and click Continue.

- Enter your name, email address, and password, then click Sign In.
If automatic configuration attempts to use Exchange or fails, proceed with manual configuration:
Manual configuration¶
- When prompted for account type, select IMAP.
- Enter the following settings:
Incoming Server (IMAP)¶

- Click Sign In to complete the setup.
Your Kopano Cloud account is now configured and ready to use in Apple Mail.
Common Issues¶
Calendar and Contacts¶
Apple Mail only handles email. To access calendars and contacts from your Kopano Cloud account:
- Access them through the Kopano WebApp
